vitabel
vitabel is a Python framework for loading, visualizing, aligning, and annotating
high-resolution physiological time series in Jupyter notebooks. It supports
retrospective critical-care and perioperative research workflows involving
recordings from defibrillators, anaesthesia systems, and patient monitors.
Its central Vitals container combines channels, labels, and metadata. Users can
align recordings from multiple sources, add derived labels, and curate data for
signal processing, statistics, and machine learning. Supported workflows include
loading defibrillator recordings and VitalDB data, computing ventilation-related
signals, and interactively annotating events.
The project provides documentation, worked examples, and an interactive Binder demonstration.
